We carried out specialist hardwood window repairs and restoration work to a traditional property on Mersea Island, Essex. The existing timber frames had suffered from rot and weather damage, so the affected sections were carefully removed and replaced with new hardwood components, including bespoke hardwood cills and repaired structural timber sections.
All replacement pieces were individually shaped and fitted to match the original character of the property while improving durability and weather resistance. The project included detailed joinery repairs, preparation for redecoration and careful preservation of the existing leaded light windows.
This restoration project helped extend the life of the original timber windows while maintaining the period appearance of the property.
