arn Refurbishment & Oak Frame Extension – Hadleigh, Suffolk

This barn refurbishment project in Hadleigh, Suffolk involved removing the existing roof from a previous barn conversion and transforming a dark internal space into a bright open-plan kitchen and living area.

SMART Carpentry & Refurbishments carried out the full project including demolition, new foundations, structural steel installation, oak feature trusses, roofing, insulation, plastering, and kitchen installation.

The finished result created a spacious vaulted living area with exposed oak beams, large roof lights, and modern glazing while maintaining the character of the original barn conversion.
